The Bailout plan proposed by both the democrats and republicans failed today. The House vote was 228-205.
This means our country is still in economic trouble.
Many economist are predicting the Stock Market to crash, just as it did 1929.
Democrats and Republicans on Capitol Hill immediately blamed each other for the failure of a $700 billion bailout package in the House on Monday.
The stock market immediately dipped hundreds of points after it became apparent that the bill would fail. The Dow closed down 777 points at the end of trading Monday.
With the banks being bought out last week and now the Stock Market beginning to crash, I am scared.
With the economy this bad it is already harder to get loans just to go to school, buy a house or even get a loan to start a small business. I dont want to think about what will happen if the Market actually does crash.
I am taking all my money out of the bank and putting it in my safe. Cash is better than an ATM receipt.
