The drive to Vegas was not fun! It took us eight hours from Beverly Hills to the valet at Aria. With the rain and the holiday weekend pretty much everyone in LA and Vegas and every where in in between was on the road.

We finally arrived at Las Vegas’ newest casino and resort, Aria. It is not a place for those who have been going to Vegas for years. The modern architecture and open concept makes this casino perfect for younger generation and those from over seas.
The casino has some loose ends to tie up, but what else is to be expected. The Aria has only been open since December 16th. However, I believe two hours to get our bags was a little extreme.

NYE was wonderful.
We did a little shopping at the Fashion Show Mall, the guys got new suits for the black tie affair.
It was hard to believe both Austin and his dad got brand new suits tailed and ready to wear all within three hours, only in Vegas.

The evening started off with a champagne toast in Austin’s parents suite. Austin’s dad celebrated his thirtieth wedding anniversary with friends he has known for foury-five years. To think about a friendship that has with stood so many years and so much adversity is truly wonderful and puts a smile on my face.
Next the group headed down to the Lady GaGa themed black tie affair. Cristal was considered the house champagne and the entertainment on the center stage was absolutely amazing.

The black tie affair ended rather early, not surprised since Austin and I were the youngest of the group by at least ten years. We walked around Aria feeling the wonderful effects of Cristal and trying to find the next party. After walking aimlessly and giving up on the poor cell service, we ended up going to bed early. Which turned out to be okay, I woke up feeling the effects of all the Cristal the next morning anyways.

All in all it was a wonderful trip. It was nice to spend some time with family over the holidays, even if it was new years.

I hope each and everyone of you brought the new year in with those you love.

Even though writing 2010 instead of 2009 will not improve our lives, we have the ability to make our lives better each and every day.

Everyone from Fat Burger to Pro Blogger were in Vegas this weekend as everyone to learn, teach and network.
Most of the networking I did took place at the after parties! There was plenty going on but I only made it to a few events: Jet and Lavo on Friday night followed by the Hilton on Saturday night!
I had a wonderful time this hanging out with friends from Los Angeles, The Hawkins and the Sandersons and making new ones! With the Budlight open bar it was hard not to get a little crazy!
It seems like I was in Vegas for a two weeks, I am happy to be home and back to my normal routine.
I love Vegas, but I am ready for a break from Sin City.

After classes today Austin and myself will be heading to Vegas for another jam packed weekend!
I am not looking forward to the drive there or back, I swear the drive home takes eight hours!

We are first stopping at Beer and Blog tonight! I am excited to see some good friends!
I am sure Austin is excited to talk WordPress!
Tomorrow kicks off Word Camp Las Vegas inside Blog World Expo.
Word Camp Las Vegas is being organized once again by our good friend, John Hawkins. John did an amazing job last year and I am positive he will continue that tradition.

I am defiantly not planning on partying like we did two weeks ago, I think I am barely recovered.
I am, however; looking forward to learning more about WordPress and improving my blog!!
At the very least I can get some sunshine! :)

It was a stark reminder that I was not checking into theBellagio.
When my BF finally made it up to the room I was a little happier. We paid more for the “newly renovated” tower suite and it is actually nice. Complete difference from the casino floor.

However when I decided to look at the room service menu I was appalled!
The prices were not too expensive but $12 for a salad at the Palace Station, you have got to be kidding me! What is worse than that is the fact they charge $4 room service fee, 19% gratuity, plus Nevada state tax which they do not disclose.
I think these people need a swift kick in the head. It is cheaper to get food delivered at the Wynn.
To sum it up, only come to the Palace Station if you have to, say for a wordcamplv convention. Shell out the cash for the tower suite, and go across the street to In and Out or Landry’s.
