::The Problem With Free Stuff::

So I am attending BarCamp LA today. Despite being here too early, running on little sleep and stressing out over the normal end of semester issues I had high hopes for today.
I had met some really cool people in the morning who had interesting points of view.
However as the day progressed the free loaders appeared, along with their lack of respect.
I call them free loaders because I feel a handful of these people are here for the free shirt, food, and beer.

All the talks are suppose to take place in designated rooms at designated times.
There was nothing I wanted to listen to so I decided to stay in the same spot I had been in since 9:30 this morning. I was working on a research paper and I was on a roll.

Out of no where these guys ask me to move. They want to do an unscheduled talk right where I am. I say no, because I already have all my stuff here I am situated and why should I move for them?
Out of no where all these gross men come trying to sit where I am. I tell them time and time again that the seats are taken and I do not want to hear there talk so they should go in a designated room like everyone else here!

I am now surrounded by fat guys who apparently believe deodorant is optional and touching my diet coke can where I drink from is acceptable. I get that BarCamp LA is free, we are all here to learn. But when a fifty something year old man tells me to shut up because he is listen when no one is talking, while half sitting on my chair, shit is about to hit the fan. Dont try and take advantage of me just because I am female and sitting by myself.
There were many other seating areas these men could have utilized. However they saw a female sitting alone and assumed they could over power me. Think again. What really pissed me off; this group took chairs from an area where a man was sitting alone and brought them to where I was sitting to have their meeting. Why not ask the man to leave or take over his area?

Furthermore I am going to charge these assholes a viewing fee if they keep starting at my tits.

Moral of the story when there is free food, clothes and beer there will be assholes probably not wearing deodorant.
Never underestimate the bitchiness of a sleep deprived college student.

The old man next door who complains about dog shit and yet feeds the pigeons in the alley.
Smokers who hate the smell of smoke.
Guys with no tattoos who are infatuated with girls covered in tattoos.
Those lacking standards and self respect judging others.
Inmates who watch Cops.
People who live by the beach but hate the ocean.
Those claiming to be educated but lacking any sign of an intelligent thought.
Pedophiles who watch Dateline’s To Catch A Predator.
Watching obsess people take the elevator instead of the stairs.
Huge SUVs with “Support Our Troops” stickers.

The list could go on and on, these are a few I see in everyday life.

::iPhone for Verizon::

I really want to know if Verizon is going to get the iphone any time soon.
I have read that apple extended their contract with AT&T until 2010.
Then I read the iphone could be at Verizon sometime in 2009.

I really want the iphone and cant switch to AT&T.
My parents and sister who live eight hours away use verizon along with my BF so texting and calls are free all the time. Plus I dont pay my cell bill so I cant complain that I want a different service provider.
The major part, Verizon has kick ass service over AT&T too!

Ugggg I wish there was a definitive answer to this question!

I have noticed an awful lot of clapping today.
I kind of feel like I am back in kindergarden.
Every time someone gets done talking or even wins a raffle people start clapping!
Really?!
I thought clapping was reserved for an exceptional performance, not getting lucky at a raffle.
Just a thought……

::Watching People Eat::

After a super yummy lunch at In N Out we have re-grouped at wordcamplv.
I am trying to concentrate, well pretend I have some idea of what this guy is talking about. However I am completely unable to do so.
I am super detracted my this guy in front of my eating a Subway wrap as if he has not eaten in years. It is possible because he looks skinny from my point of view, but I am thinking that is not the case.
Every time he takes a bit out of this wrap his lips stretch out like a monkey.
Call me crazy, but I am usually concerned with what I look like while eating.
ESPECIALLY when I am the only one eating in a room full of people.
Lesson to be learned viewers, enjoy your food in public but remember someone is probably watching you, and if that someone is me. I will blog about it.
He is just lucky I dont have a camera phone, other wise his stretched out monkey lips would be posted on the internet.

I propose that we demolish the round-about located at 26th and Washington.
It seems that a majority of you have no idea how to use it.
Contrary to what most of you believe this is not a race to see who can enter and then exit the round-about the quickest.
At any rate I have devised a plan, I shall circle the round about until one of the Sam Mo mom’s not paying attention hits me with her over sized luxury SUV.
I of course will be in the right since no body seems to pay attention when using the round-about.
I am positive this will work since I seem to avoid accidents every time I drive through this round-about.

Until I put my plan into action I have come up with very simple instructions;
How to drive through a round about.
It is simple really, yield to the car already in the round about.
One can identify this car because it will be driving in a circle motion, hence the name, “round-about”.
At this point in time you should break not accelerate in attempt to cut the car off. It will not work.
Once the round-about is clear proceed to drive and not pay attention.
Class dismissed.

PS. If you are still too stupid to use a round about correctly, try driving down 25th.

I feel all this technology is forcing our generation to be stupid.
All these abbreviations have made correct spelling obsolete.

I find it nauseating that even with spell check people continually miss spell simple words such as; a lot.
It is two different words people.
We are talking 3rd grade spelling now.
The best one I saw was one MySpace.
Someone I know filled out a survey and one question asked; “What do you look for in the opposite sex?”
His answer, intelligince

Wait really?
They look for intelligence in women, yet cannot even spell it with spell check!

I understand we all type fast and at times it would be an typo, however this is why our computers are equipped with spell and grammar check.
Set your computer to underline miss spelled words and grammar errors to prevent yourselves from looking like a complete jackass.
